1) EUROCHILD 2010 CAMPAIGN- End Child Poverty Now!
End Child Poverty Now!




The Aragão Pinto Foundation is the National Coordinator of the Eurochild campaign End Child Poverty Now! that wants to stop the child poverty in Europe.

Acting globally in 35 EU countries with our 108 associates, we want to create a strong awareness for this huge problem.
In Portugal 23% of our children live in poverty!

2) Peer Review in Social Protection and Social Inclusion and Assessment in Social Inclusion sub-program

The Peer Review in Social Protection and Social Inclusion and Assessment in Social Inclusion sub-program were established by the European Commission to support the Open Method of Coordination.

a) The Peer Review seminars encourage the dissemination of good practice by opening up the experience of the host country in a particular policy area to critical assessment by peer countries. This can serve as a useful means of helping Member States to design and implement more effective policies and of contributing to dialogue with stakeholders.

b) The Network of Independent Experts on Social Inclusion provides regular accounts of recent policy developments and key trends deemed relevant in the context of the EU policy coordination process on social inclusion. They also provide an independent assessment of the “social inclusion strand” of the National Strategy Report on Social Protection and Social Inclusion.

3) EUROCHILD - Communitarian program in defense of the young people and children at risk of the Europe



The Eurochild is an international net of organizations that work in all the countries of the Europe to improve the quality of the life of the young and children.

Our work has as it guides the Convention of the Rights of the Children of United Nations.

We want to involve all the organizations that fight for the rights of the young and children, for all the Europe to better fight against their poverty and social exclusion.

From now the Aragão Pinto Foundation can contribute with its voice and experience, at the communitarian level, to the defense of the young people and children with fewer possibilities.

B) NATIONAL PROGRAMS

1) Valuation for the sport

This program is the regular and quality practice of sports by the children and young people with fewer possibilities.
Through this program we go to support these children providing practices of some sports as: soccer, rugby, hockey in skids, korfball, martial arts, swimming, gymnastics, handball and basketball.

This practices goes to be followed by equips of dedicated social assistance to these children, allowing a coordination of efforts that allow to the creation of rules and strong social values, reduction of the segregation spirit, creation of healthful routines in the day the day, establishment of a program of creation of conditions of equality with the remaining children and then, its social integration.

2) Solidary Chair

Creation of a school of formation of basketball, handball and volleyball in chair of wheels, for children with motor deficiency.

Through this program we go support deficient children, through the practice oh basketball, which a social integration will allow them more intense, increase of the happiness levels and mobility.

3) Global Sport

Through this program we go to create a series of sporting and playful activities for children with deep motor and mental disabilities.

We want to create playful routines that allow the increase of the level of Inter-share with these children, aid in its daily mobility and becoming its day more active and worthier the day best, of its condition of human being by operation of law.

4) Solidary Musical Chain

With the support of Portuguese bands we want to create campaigns of sensitization and gathering donations, through gratuitous performing of the same ones.

5) Solidary Theater

With the support of the theaters and Portuguese artists we want to create campaigns of sensitization, and gathering donations and providing the gratuitous gone of these children to the theater.

6) Creation of Causes

With the support of Portuguese Fashion Creators and Designers we want to effect campaigns of sensitization and gathering donations.

With the support of several entities we are going to make cultural visits trough all Portugal.
