The Houses of Gaiato intuition was born with the need felt by Padre Américo Monteiro de Aguiar, visitor of the poor and slum dwellers.

The purpose of each House of Gaiato is to receive, educate and integrate into society children and young people who, for whatever reason, were deprived of normal family environment.

 father Américo Monteiro de Aguiar said: "we are family to those who have no family."

The average population of each House of Gaiato is 150 boys distributed by different ages from birth until about 25 years.

Institutions are totally private living day by day the gospel risk of human solidarity.

Volunteers accepted full-time and part-time also. In this case we ask people to be fully available for children and young people with a sense of motherhood and fatherhood. Of course it will be useful to have knowledge of pedagogy and psychology.

The employees are required skills for which they are hired.

The activities of each home are always oriented to the achievement of objectives in mind providing what is best for the development of each boy as health, food, schooling, vocational training, employment, vacation, leisure, culture.
