After the XX Century with the great social changes in Europe, where the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Communism were the highlights, the reflections of a Europe with poverty and a lot of social problems has become more evident, without smoke curtains to wrap them.

The XXI Century has to be the time to strike once the root of these problems and to strengthen global policies that brings an equal opportunity and dignity to all.

We must unite consciousness, bringing together the efforts to call for participation. Here in Portugal we are ready for this arduous task with the Aragão Pinto Foundation as the national Coordinator.

Looking at the future is to look at children and young people and in this look at the risk must have special attention.

Together we can, together we will eradicate child poverty!

With one voice we mark 2010 as the year when Europe is united and said: End the Child Poverty now!
